TGDG Presents: Gold Metallurgy 101 for Geos

In this talk, we will examine some of the unit operations used to process gold ores. We will look at simple processing routes such as heap leach operations, and then move on to more complex flow sheets that incorporate roasting or leaching. We will examine how mineralogy impacts the type of circuit selected, and the amount of liberation required. Other parameters such as metal/mineral association (e.g. Cu/As/Ag etc.), economics, the size of the deposit, geometallurgy, etc. all have an impact on the processing route.
